The new industrial zone set in the south part of Wuhan is in an area which water system belongs to the fractal theory when larger parts (lakes) reproduce themselves in smaller ones (ponds). Using this natural principle, we propose to set the main facility next to a renovated pond which will become an attractive focal nod, in order to create a public plaza allowing views to the lake, on the south, when scattered smaller artificial ponds, along a N/S pedestrian spine will lead to the support facilities to the North.

The success of this project has been an inspiration for several office parks in the region and has been praised by central government leaders like former premier Wen Jiabao during his state visit in October 2010, leading to the development of the second phase.
