Forecasting an international market in the near future, a new headquarter for the North Engineering Group is to be built in the proximity of Dalian downtown, next to the new university, on a sloping site whose views to the mountain and the sea are quite striking.

This site configuration allows to create a strong sense of hierarchy for the functions and to define, following the slope, the setting of the parking as well as the different buildings.

Besides the site’s morphology, fengshui leads us to create a public plaza at the entrance and on the north elevated side, associated with a 10-floor administration building, overlooking the entire compound.

The result created is a very efficient as well as enjoyable working place, with a rich variety of spaces and a strong interaction with the surrounding mountain and the sea further away.
