The competition program asked for two parts -- an office park on the north and a residential compound on the south -- on each side of Tongzipo Road, main axis to downtown. In order to connect those two parts and respond to Changsha’s identity and specificity, which are about mountain, water and islands, we create a central depressed island on each side of the main road treated as an outdoor exhibition space about mining – the company’s activity.
